As stated by the constitution, four objectives are held as fundamental in attaining membership-character, scholarship, leadership, and service. It is the purpose of the society to exalt these objectives and make them the goal of every student. The emblem of the society is the keystone and flaming torch of knowledge. On the base of the keystone are the four letters C., S., L., and S., which represent the four principles of the organization. The keystone is symbolic ofthe fact that, as a builder places the keystone to hold the arch in stability, so must our education be held firm and true to the highest purposes and virtues of life. Due to the fact that the junior high is not in the high school building, there is just one division instead of the two which we have had other years. Each year, the orchestra furnishes music for most of the entertainments that are held in the auditorium. Under the efficient leadership of Miss Anne McClure, the orchestra has ac' complished much along musical lines. It entered the county contest held in Greens' burg on April eleventh.
