We started out to organize as the upper classmen had done, and as a result, William Pringle was chosen president, Lois McCracken, secretary, and Ruth Serway, treasurer. For colors, blue and white, were selected, with the forgetfmefnot as our class flower. Having agreed upon the motto, Energy wins the way, it is our aim to follow this to the best of our ability. Due to our inexperience, we did not accomplish much this year, but since we are just Freshies, that can be overlooked. We studied hard and as a result of this, some of us were on the honor roll. Algebra and Latin were difficult subjects but most of us have been willing workers. In assembly we presented the following playlets, An Unexpected Thanks' giving, A Man in the HO'uSC,,, The King of Nonsense, and The Steprnother's Arrival. These showed that we have talented actors and actresses among us. Sports appealed to many of us and some of our boys succeeded in getting on either the football or the basketball squads. Our classfteams in basketball showed promise of future talent also. Since our term as Freshmen has ended now, we hope that our experiences have aided us and will enable us to be a very successful class . -HUGH DOUGLAS. 48 1 um?
