But being a member of the student body is not enough. To be a part of school life means to participate in its activities. Nancy and Dave learn of the many organizations each may join through PA announcements and colorful posters. By cheering Redmen on and ioininq school Dave buys tickets for the Shaw game from Terry Martin and Sue Thompson as Ncmcy looks over bulletin board posters.

Sixty-one class rooms. cafeteria, auditor- ium, little theater, and gym-this is PSH in a nutshell, declares the guide to the new students bewildered by the size of the building. These tours, usually conducted by office pages, give students a brief intro- duction to their new school. The tour is over, so with a map in one hand and a schedule in the other, Nancy and Dave set out on their own. Our cafeteria serves as lunchroom, study hall, and ballroom. remarks lean Tomasello while showing our new students PSH. to first-day excitement of new students. Dck Draiss complete their workbook assignments, and Dave Scott sets up apparatus. Finding their classes, meeting the teach- ers, and making new friends is the primary concern for our new students Nancy and Dave. With the help of his map and the guidance of a friendly hall guard, each locates the room of his first class. As soon as he enters that room and is welcomed by the teacher and his fellow classmates, he be- comes a member of the class. Here he meets new friends and enjoys the use of the most modern equipment whether he be in chemistry, typing, or electricity class. Now Nancy and Dave have joined the ranks of the 2200 students of PSH, the Queen of High Schools .

We've gone with new students, Nancy Zinsmeister, a senior, and Dave Weiler, a junior, from the moment they entered our doors till they really felt a part of the student body. If We left them now, we'd know only part of the story, so let's follow them through 1956 and discover what their first year was like at Parma Senior High.
