Class of 1955 Counling and Tallying vofes are senior class officers-Ernie Lees, Treasurer: Bill Hopkins, presidenfg Mr. Marshall, adviser: Dolores Baran, secrelaryg and Dick Sfudinka, vice-presidenf. As our four years of high school come To an end, we as Seniors pause To recall The highlighfs of These years. When we enfered Parma Schaaf High School in The fall of l95l, like all freshmen classes we were a lonely group losT in a crowd of confidenf, laughing upperclassmen, Affer The firsf few weeks we became orienfed To our new surroundings and goT inTo The swing of Things by ioining clubs and going To foofball games and canfeen. Jerry BrandT was elecTed presidenT of The class and conf Tinued as presidenT in his sophomore and iunior years. Time flew by and before long we were sopho- mores and one sTep closer To being upperclassmen. We followed The Redmen closely, led by our cheerleaders, Nancy Rupp and PaT Gannon. Our class was The firsT one To have an underclass picnic, which was held aT Hinckley Lake in June. Our junior year broughf The honor of being upperclassmen, buT more imporTanT iT was our firsT year in The wonderful new Queen of High Schools , Parma Senior High, IT was as iT we were freshmen all over again . . . using The maps To geT To classe rooms and becoming acguainTed wiTh The newer members of The faculTy. However, we were soon self-relianT iuniors. Reviewing The social evenfs of The iunior year, we recall The Y-Teen Chrisfmas Formal, The Junior-Senior Prom, Junior Day, and The class picnic. ln The spring we elecTed Jerry Brandf as Sfudenf Cify Manager for The coming year. All Too soon we were seniors. Our choice for class presidenT was Bill Hopkins and we selecTed Mr. Marshall as our class adviser. Our social calen- dar for The year feafured such evenfs as The senior play, Charley's AunT , The Junior-Senior Prom, and The Senior Dance which was held in The PSH cafe- Teria or, as we prefer To call iT, The PSH ballroom. The year was climaxed by Senior Day, The class picnic, Baccalaureafe, and lasT of all, Commence- menT. Ours was a hecTic year filled wiTh sTudying, Term papers, and imporfanf decisions for The fuTure. lT was a year filled wiTh laughTer, confusion, and good Times. lT was a year filled wiTh friendship picfures, name cards, dues, cap and gown measuremenfs, and commencemenf announcemenfs. IT was a year filled wiTh The liTTle Things done for us by our Teachers, counselors, and friends. These are The Things we'll remember as we recall our four years aT Parma Schaaf and aT Parma Senior High School.
