Having learned all the dols and don'ts from superior upperclassmen while freshmen, we were ready to settle down as sophomores and really get things done. As a result we took first place with our Halloween skit and held two successful parties, one near Christmas and the other in the second semester. In 1956 sophomores could be found taking an active part in the following clubs and organizations, on the annual staff, Doyle Cornwell, Betty Bozeman, Sharon Nelsen and Mike Sweet, on the Student Council, Doyle Cornwell, Betty Bozeman and Eleanor Scott, and on the paper staff, Doyle Cornwell and Steve Tyson. The Pep Club president was a sophomore, Betty Bozeman, and the secretary, Eleanor Scott, and treasurer, Helen Suter, also were sophomores. Doyle Cornwell, a sophomore, was the F.F.A. reporter and all the F.H.A. officers were sophomore girls. Sophomore boys were also found in the Panther Club and taking an active part in sports.
