Student Council The Student Council. as the governing body of the high school, is made up of rep- resentatives from the classes and organiza- tions. This year under the able leadership of the officers-Dale Bartles, Presidentg Hank Dib- ble. Vice President: Betty Wong. Secretary: and George Ann Berkley. Treasurer-the Stu- dent Council has been very active, undertak- ing such projects as the sponsorship of the Homecoming Game, the Christmas program, the Tip-Off Caine, the revision of the Con- stitution. and the publishing of a handbook for incoming freshmen.

The Pantherettes sponsored a car wash in the fall, a homemade candy sale, a cooked food sale, and took care of concessions at the games. The Pantherette marching unit performed three times at basketball games, and three Pantherette girls presented the flag at the home games. March 9 the Pantherette Ball was held with Ralph Stienbecs orchestra. A king and queen were chosen and the theme was very cleverly carried out with a floor show. The Pantherette constitution was revised to make it adequate for present day conditions. For the first time the Pantherettes gave something for the benefit of the school. This year it was a donation for a piece of equipment to be used in the new high school building. A point system was instituted and the girls received points for all extra work done for the organization. In the award assembly the last day of school each girl having earned the required number of points received a Pantherette award. The girl with the highest number of points received a special reward. Mrs. Hallie Jensen from Nampa was their able advisor. Pantherettes
