Feeding more students in a shorter period prov- ed to he a challenge for Parkwood's cooks. Washing dirty dishes and cleaning up after students seemed an endless but necessary task. Other duties ranged from serving as cashiers to selling snacks and school supplies behind the snack bar. The janitorial staff busied themselves by keep- ing the school in top shape. Students progressed at their own rate, passing increasingly difficult levels of achievement and skill. Wood carving, ceramics, sculpture, and a variety of drawing, painting, and printing comprised the art students' year. The semester classes formed this year provided students with a chance to learn a greater assort- ment of homemaking skills in less time. Cook- ing classes experimented with taste tempting foreign dishes while sewing classes constructed difficult patterns of clothing. concentrates on forming realistic features.
