Assistant Principal, Craig F. Campbell - , .Mi ally' acmws Principal, Paul E. Welch Administrative transfers brought two new faces to the main office. Dr. Paul Welch assumed the position of principal. The new administration introduced several different policies and ideas. These included changes in lunch schedules, plans to halt cutting, and cracking down on tar- dies: With their efficient secretarial staff the main office continued to meet the ad- ministrative duties of Parkwood. With the addition of Miss Lindi Henson, the guidance office endeavored to make necessary schedule changes and to recommend subjects needed to attain ultimate goals. A tempermentalw computer caused headaches for guidance, scheduling students in classes they did not want, while others found themselves completely forgotten. LS guidancef27

Mrs. Norma Mills, Dean of Attendance, con- tinued to listen to excuses, read notes from parents, and issue passes. Mrs. Virginia Brown aided Mrs. Mills by checking absences and tar- dies. Students found that stricter penalties caus- ed more visits to Mrs, Mills' office and more detentions and suspensions. Mrs. Georgia Buchanon, Parkwood's school nurse, spent her mornings looking after students complaining of headaches, stomach aches, and other assorted ailments.
