Changes greeted returning Parkwood students as well as the freshman, The building remained the same, but not so the administration. Before classes began session, the new principal, Dr. Paul Welch and new vice-principal, Craig Campbell made their way around the halls view- ing the Parkwood student body and building. Students reunited with old friends and revealed events of the past summer. With the elimination of homeroom period, room searching delayed itself until 9 AM when first hour officially started. Dr. Welch made his opening announcemnt over the intercom during the beginning of second hour stating that he looked forward to the new year and that second hour would serve the function of homeroom. Requests for schedule changes poured into Guidance Office throughout the first days. Reason for so many? The relatively new com- puterized programming.
