RUTC offered leaderslup trammg Diamond and Disc Staff fsee page 220j 106frotc Marksmanship courses, firepower demonstrations, and helicopter rides crowded the already heavy list of activities for cadets of Parkwood's battalion of Reserve Officers Train- ing Corps. Members belonged to a number of ex- tracurricular organizations including flag detail, band, and color guard. The drill team competed in local and regional tournaments in addition to performing in area parades. Aside from participating on the rifle team, color guard, and flag detail, activities consisted of classroom study in military history and courtesy, first aid, and citizenship. Members of Diamond and Disc planned and prepared the Military Ball for their annual project. ROTC dues and money from the Parents Club provided funds for the dance.
