Senior Women, Fun is Our Motto SENIOR WOMEN of 1973 1 if BOTTOM TO TOP: Julie Sindelar. Secretaryg Kari Severson, Treasurer: Joan Hagen. President: Miss Akers, Sponsor. Missing: Kit True. Vice President. With the true spirit ofa se- nior, Senior Women gave us the certain kind of fun that enabled us to involve ourselves in the school we were about to leave. We won the Powderpuff game because we worked as a team. It was a sight to see us practicing, but we had fun and got to know each other better. Our red and blue jerseys helped to distinguish us around West. Towards the end of the year we realized how much fun Senior Women had been. 15- 'Fiirfvzs 'Si S' , , Powderpuff. Looking over West's sports records, we feel we were suc- cessful. The second thing is the fun of working together. The cheers were hard work but behind them were dedication and a lot of laughs. We worked on our skills this year and de- veloped the cheers we learned at camp. Mrs. Jones was our sponsor and Mother Hen and a major help in all our accom- plishments this year.

Bleacher Bums and Bummettes Bleacher Bums and Bumettes were organized to pro- mote a unique spirit at basketball games. Thefirst Bleacher Bums were around lastyear, andthen the girls decided we should organize and have a Bleacher Bummette group, just as the guys had. We had a lot of fun goofing off and act- ing silly while cheer- ing the basketball Longhorns on to victory. 5? Bleacher Bums and Bummettes WelcomingClub With the incoming of new students almost every day at West the Welcoming Club played an important role. The guidance department helped us by giving us the names of new students. We then showed the new students around the building, introduced them to West students, and made them feel at home. Welcoming Club definitely did play an inportant role at West this year. i-MJ ...ii in Welcoming Club - ROW 1: Glenda Crissman, Libby Hines, Linda Oches. Karen Schoch, Chris Fawks.
