to Promote Spirit at West Pep Club's responsibility at West involved encouraging spirit. Simple enough? Not really, as there is a sound philosophy behind Pep Club. We felt that if we got the individual class- es going in spirit, hopefully we could form a spiritual bond within the school to unite it, and as a result have made our athletic teams feel of great value. To help lift the morale of our teams before the games, we painted posters encouraging victory and publicizing the game. The nights before the games we delivered cakes to each one of the players which made them feel spe- cial. On the days of the games we decorated ourteam's locker rooms. Not only did we helpthe teams feel ofvalue, we sponsored the Homecoming festivities and we visited laurel Haven at Christmas time.
