Although lackadaisi- cal during practice at times. each member of the team demonstrated admirable en- thusiasm and dedication, and contributed to a very respect- able 6-3-4 record. lt was an extremely pleasurable experi- ence. . -Coach Phillips- This years sophomore soc- cer team had the potential for greatness. With a strong de- e fense and at times a strong offense they defeated most of their opponents. One of the main factors contributing to their success was their enthu- I siasm and dedication. Produce Record Season Looking at it from the standpoint of past seasons you would have to say it was a good year. This year's varsity soccer team broke almost every record in the book, from the number of goals in a season to the number of boys who placed on the all conference team. However l think each member of the squad, myself included, was disappointed that we didn't do even better. Mr.Taylor 4 This years soccer team placed five boys on the all-conference team. These boys were Woot Srithaporn, Nlatt McDarby, Rick Brinker, and Captains Doug,Dowden and Tom Waites. The third captain on this year's varsity team was Craig Mathis. These captains showed team leadershipboth spirituallyiand physical- ly. Another senior who deserves recognition is Rick Archeski. ff ef
