He considered it a strong team with outstanding individuals and good depth. Coach Fuller also recog- nized two other factors which contributed to the team's success: the messages left by mysterious Kilroy, and the girl timers -the Hot Dogs. Co-captains Don Depke and Mike Gorham provided spirit as well as bl' many first places to the team. Mike Gorham N' contributed the most points total. Mark f Maier was another outstanding senior: he led the divers to a 12-1 record, taking first place in every meet except against Kirk- wood. The 10-4 season ended with several West swimmers going to State Finals: Mark Maier took third place in diving, the 200 Yard Medley Relay team took fourth place. and sophomore Jay Hammond took tenth place in 100 Yard Breaststroke. .1
