At the beginning of the book we felt inspired by the phrase we can work it out. Did we fulfill this hope? Looking through the book we can see what we tried and what we found to be successful. We realized that we could achieve little by utilizing only limited resources -that it took a combination of all three aspects of our school environment Cschool partici- pation, the community, and ourselvesj to advance our aims. Perhaps we'll never be satisfied with the condition of life around us, but we'll continue to keep trying to work it out. lt was this mood of West that we at- tempted to capture in this book. We tried to catch the small memories that will always be West to us. Without the un- selfish help of the following people we couldn't have done this: Mrs. Joan Fleck, our advisor Mr. B. E. Wetzel, vice-principal, friend, and a seemingly inexhaustable supply of printing paper. Mr. Jim Combs, American Yearbook Representative. Miss Sophie Parashek and everyone at Vincent Price Studios. Denise Weber, and Greg Lowther for photography assistance Mr. Nagel, darkroom consultant Our patrons And those in the student body who supported the book and thus made it possible. We hope the '73 PAWESEHI is your memory of West.
