AI Burr, Principal T W IVlr. Bill Byrd lVlr. Dan Natale The overwhelming impression that one is left with after examining the 1972-73 Pawesehi is the diversity of student achievement. This was a student body composed of a variety of personalities,attitudes, and interests. The indi- vidual difference was both accepted and encouraged. Each student was charged with the responsibility to make the West community better. Each in- dividual, with his own talents and interests, had the opportunity to do, to act, andto improve. From the diversity came our strength. The pages of the Yearbook reveal a remarkable story of accomplishment. Excited by ideas, and given the freedom to try, the West student wrote an enviable record of achievement in academics, athletics, activities, and in service. Mutual respect characterized our community. With each individual responsible for the success of his own program, he became sensitive to the needs and problems of others.
