IN MEMORIAM THERON RAY was a most beloved teacher. He had an understanding of and a love for his students that is seldom equalled among ed- ucators. It was natural that the feeling be returned to him. A man of deep humility, he was unaware of his own greatness, wliich lay in his unique ability to teach his pupils hoxiT to tliinl :. He is gone, but he lives forever in hearts and minds of former students, who consider it a privilege to have sat in the classes of a truly successfiil teacher. ttrs, Rosella Vining THERON RAY, TEACHER THOMAS BIRCH PASSWATERS was a dedicated ser- vant to the Willshire and Parlcway Schools for 26 years and to his comiitunity, family, and friends for all of his life. He always made you feel that you were his special friend, yet to Tom everyone was special. Youngsters and elders alike sought and respected his advice. Many issues were settled with Let ' s ask Tom , Rarely in life ' s procession there comes an uncommon man such as Tom who leaves the woodpile bigger than he found it, the world better than when he came to it, and a void that is mighty hard to fill.
