During his eleven years of service To Parkville High School, Mr. Norman Norris has conTribuTed much Time and hard work To boys' physical educaTion. Because of This, The maioriTy of The sTudenTs immediaTely associaTe his name wiTh Parkville aThleTics. Born in BalTimore, Mr. Norris aTTended Towson High School where he graduaTed in l952. He Then wenT To NorTh Carolina STaTe UniversiTy and graduaTed wiTh a Bachelor of Science degree in l957. IT was aT ThaT Time ThaT he began Teaching aT The former Parkville Junior-Senior High School. Upon The compleTion oT The presenT Senior High, Mr. Norris Transferred. Probably The highlighT of Mr. Norris' work aT Parkville came in I965 when he coached The varsiTy baskeTball Team To The STaTe Finals aT College Park. Championship Teams were noT new To him, however. For Two consecu- Tive years, i958 and I959, he led The soccer Team To BalTimore CounTy championships. ln l96I came anoTher counTy championship. This Time iT was junior varsiTy base! ball. His work does noT end wiTh The close of school each clay. His services are appreciaTed aT The CounTy Recreae Tion DeparTmenT.
