One was for pupils who have delecls in hearing, one for pupils wilh a slower learning abilily, and ihe lasl for pupils who have speech defecls. Mr. Kilz was lhe coordinaior of 'rhe special educalion class. Along wilh English and Malh, Mr. Ki+z's sludenls lake Physical Educalion and creafive courses. These slu- denfs learn 'ro make a useful and produclive life for 'lhemselves and fo cope wifh daily problems. Some sludenls assisl lhe librarian, nurses, and cusiodial slails. Miss Slark used special audio equipmenl available in her class- room. Exiensive repelilion is basic in learning 'lo properly correcl' hearing defecls. New +0 Parkville lhis year is Miss Schnider. A former Parkville Jun- ior High speech lherapisl, Miss Schnider is hoping 'lo achieve The goal of helping 'rhose sfudenls who have lrouble in speaking.
