The remaining class Time was spenT under The leadership of Mr. Michael Baron, who TaughT English, C.l.S.S., and a course in iob problems. Bwoadenfhg Um' lmagmaffbn Parlcville welcomed a new librarian this year. Mrs. Forsberg came to us from Patapsco. Housing more than I2.000 books plus various magazines and encyclopedias, the library Otters ex- cellent research and recreational material. Students acting as library assistants lighten the daily tasks of Mrs. Kneece, Mrs. Forsberg, and Mrs. Acton. The main room ot the library can hold 92 students while the classroom can accommodate 40. One was for pupils who have delecls in hearing, one for pupils wilh a slower learning abilily, and ihe lasl for pupils who have speech defecls. Mr. Kilz was lhe coordinaior of 'rhe special educalion class. Along wilh English and Malh, Mr. Ki+z's sludenls lake Physical Educalion and creafive courses. These slu- denfs learn 'ro make a useful and produclive life for 'lhemselves and fo cope wifh daily problems. Some sludenls assisl lhe librarian, nurses, and cusiodial slails. Miss Slark used special audio equipmenl available in her class- room. Exiensive repelilion is basic in learning 'lo properly correcl' hearing defecls. New +0 Parkville lhis year is Miss Schnider. A former Parkville Jun- ior High speech lherapisl, Miss Schnider is hoping 'lo achieve The goal of helping 'rhose sfudenls who have lrouble in speaking. Miss Schnider feels, +he siudenls musi be fully cooperalive and wanr lo learn io speak correclly. Good speech is as essenlial as a good appearance any'rime.
