M. Knight. In 1853 Colonel George S. Park and Mr. Cundiff founded a newspaper in Parkville, 'entitled The Industrial Luminary. BERNIECE HUME ROBERT L BURNS Superintendent Principal B S K1FkSV1lle State Teachers A B Tarklo College Colorado University Missouri University Colorado University The Superintendent s Message Parkville High School had its beginning 1n September, 1925 It Was started With one year of high school training, an add1t1onal year being' added eachsubsequent year until it became a full-four year high school 111 September, 1929 Prior to 1926, the Park College Academy was furnishing high school and college preparatory training, with Miss Mary R. Harrison as principal. When it Was decided to discontinue tfhe Academy, as colleges generally found advisable, one year of Academy was dropped each year to complete the training begun and enable the high school to be lbuilt up to take over the training of the students of the school district. The first superintendent in the high school was Mr. Frank C. Mann. The second and present su- perintendent is Miss Berniece Hume.
