AN -Future A A,S LANS is the Indiana Association of Nursing Students which coordinates the nursing principles and code for students. It is associated with ANA, American Nursing Association. This organization makes nursing students aware of new trends, needs, and objectives of nursing. This year our Ft. Wayne district IANS sponsored the State Convention of IANS. National Convention was in Miami, Florida this year. One of the proudest moments was when Nancy Waltz, right, captured the Miss Student Nurse title for our Ft. Wayne district. Student Nurse Week is set aside every year to inform the community about student nursing, nursing programs, and what a student nurse represents. I3 5 N

It also provides for fair representation for the students and the interpretation of the rules. Know, grow, show, was the theme of the Nurses' Christian Fellowship this year at Parkview. With Ronda Christner, President, Janis Fast, Vice -President, Joan Stuckey, Secretary-Treasurer, Myrna I-Ioke, Publicity, and Barb Mayes, Prayer Chairman, many new and exciting spiritual happenings evolved during the year. Bible study groups were conducted under the direction of Linda Yoder, Trudy Rider, Cathy Grogg, and Jan Flora, who made each meeting a new and challenging experience. Major events of the year included volleyball tournaments, conferences at Lake Wawausee, ice skating and folk singing sessions. The advisors for the year were Barbara Woodring, Barbara Ross, and Patricia Kuhs. I4
