PROPHECY This summer I was traveling in the South on my vacation and while browsing at a newsstand a headline caught my eye. It was a Fort Wfayne paper dated july 7. 1972. The headline read- PARK- VIEXV HOSPITAL STAFF REORCANIZEDNI Reading through the article manv familiar names caught my eve: BEVERLY CUNNINCHAM and AIUDY ANDRES have now taken over the positions of Supervisor and Floor Manager of 4th floor, respectively. IOYCE LARRISON is the new head of the Long Term Care Unit succeeding Miss Heymann who is now married. The new nurse in charge of Health Service is LOUISE MINOR. The school-PNISN, has three new instructors. MARILYN CUNNINCHAM, CAROLE FISER, and CAR- OL UPDIKE. Notation is made that MARY KAY HALL has left her position in Surgery to become scrub nurse for Dr. Mas- traugelo. CPicture thatll IUDY COMER is now devoting her full time to re- search for a new cancer cure. Clancing down the page. I notice another heading: PARKVIEVV GRADUATE ACIIIEVES POSITION NVITH ASTRONAUT CREVVS. SUSIE RATHBURN is now at Cape Canaveral caring for the astronauts in their pre-flight preparation. My goodness, I thought, turning the page. The next column that caught my eye was the CHURCH NEWS. EUNICE WOODS and LORETTA GRUVER have established a new clinic in the Belgian-Congo. Oh, it says here that BARB CAREY is traveling in the Amazon with her husband who is a minister. PHYLLIS SHEPHERD is now in Alaska with her husband who is also a minister. Across the page I noticed an ad which revealed that DIANE Dt-MUTH has added a side line to her nursing career. She is now a part-time twist instructor. On the same page is an ad for Pan American Airlines with a picture of a charming nurse stewardess, KAREN EVARD. Further back in the paper under VITAL STATISTICS I saw some familiar names. BECKY TURNER is marrying 21 pfmllillent local doctor. I 24 Also I see GIANET BLINN just gave birth to her eighth son. Here's another ad with a familiar name. DONNA BUTLER has established a business producing Butler's Better Bed Pans-Made With The Patient In Mind. Oh, here's an interesting note on the SOCIETY PACE. RITA MAYHALL, prominent New York socialite, recently entertained the Mayor and his wife in her Madison Avenue penthouse. Also hereis a picture of a lovely bride, -IEANNE SHINDELDECKER. She has just wed the U.S. Ambas- sador to Monaco. On the back of this section I see an article on Long- cliff State Hospital. I see where SUSIE LOTZ is now making runs with the ambulance on all emergency cases. Also listed among the employees there are MARY ELLEN MAXWELL and RITA ANDRY. Lower on the page I see the announcement of a new book about to be published. It is entitled How to be Socially Successfuli' or My Happy Love Lifei' by MARY CHAPMAN. Say here's an interesting ad- Lose weight sanely and safely at LINDA SCHAMERLOH'S Slimming Salon. As I picked up the second section, I see that a Park- view graduate has found her calling in Hollywood. -IUDY KNISELY is the new MCM Studio nurse. It seems that others from the Class of 62 are doing some traveling. jULIA COPSEY has left Hartford City and is traveling VVest looking for employment and adven- ture. Seems KAREN RUNKLE has made a career of traveling as crew nurse on the ship Queen Elizabeth. Seeing an ad for Ringling Brothers reminded me that KAY BOSLER is also traveling. Who would have guessed that she would become a circus nurse. As I am turning the pages, several other names catch my eye. The former SHARON BATTERSHELL and her husband, Senator Bluewater, have just returned from a successful campaign tour and are now visiting with friends and relatives.
