Xl atm S LOOKI G AHE D Sh-h-h, Girls. Quiet please! XVe take this opportunity to welcome you, the class of the year 19991f2 to Spaceview where you will be spending the next 101!2 years working, studying, eating. and sleeping. NVithout further delay and with due respect we feel we should introduce Mrs. Black, the former BIABY BAUIXIAN, who will be with you the first part of your training. She was a graduate of this hospital in 1958 when it was called Parkview. She wished to increase her knowledge in space nursing since her hus- band, Dr. Black, is going to setup his office in Mars. NVe shall now proceed oII the tour through the hospital. As the new class enters the lobby a volunteer introduces herself as JUDY NlAHTIN. fjudy has given up nursing for this job because of the better pay.J XVho else should they meet but CLENIJA NIILLER who decided to go with the group on the tour. One of the first officials to whom the group was introduced was the new assistant director of nurses, JANEEN SWIFT, whose main job was to find the missing spirits of fermenti. Commencing with Surgery, JENEAN Loxcs- woRTII, Supervisor, would not let the group go through but BONNIE BARTLEIT, head nurse, did sneak three of the girls in and they got to see DR. DRARENs'ro'r performing one of her greit BHC operations. Assisting Dr. Drabenstot was DR. DHEIIER, who recentlv obtained her TPB degree. 1 Proceeding on with the tour they passed Cen- tral Supply. There they noticed this unusually small woman wrapping packs. VVho should this dwarf be but CAROL NOLL. Miss Noll explains her size with this statement, I'm the living ex- ample of what happens to the human body when run through the autoclavelv In the Emergency Boom there was quite a bit of activity which the group got to observe. It seems that JOYCE fVlCNllNN finally flagged down a patient for Spaceview who turns out to be IUDYBETH CONNIN. It seems Judy and that thermometer shaker will never get along. ALICE HUFP'ER was applying the cast to the broken wrist. Passing the Pharmacy we spied the famed CLENDA HOLLONVAX' who had her fortune by in- venting the Pill of Youthf, Coming to the Physical Therapy Department the group heard several babies crying. It seems that BARBARA LOVEIOY, NIARCIA BROWN and HELEN NIORTON were trying to teach their grand- children to walk. The children are four months old and aren't walking yet. Too bad, poor things. Pausing a few minutes, the group had a mo- ment of prayer in the Chapel. BETTYANN ALDRED, playing the organ and MARX' SLUSSER, vocalist, made these precious moments more enjoyable. SHIRLEY FREEINIAN contributed some thoughts worth remembering. Coming from the Occupational Therapy De- partment the group passed the Laboratory. A startling sight quieted all the chattering. There was a white foam coming from the windows and doors. And who should swim out the door but SUZIE PACK and NIARY LUTZ. It seems that they had been working on a new formula but some- body goofedl
