Our former class president, Bruce Rudolph moved from the village, .and John Conant took his place. The seventh grade pupils took part in the operetta, Paints and Patches. They also had two assembly plays, Oh, Mrs. Townsend, and Francis vs. Frances. Phyllis Jackson and Vesta Aston were new to our school this year. .FOURTEEN

THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT The G1rls Glee Club has grown th1s year 1n numbers and has made real advance 1n quallty of performance Members of the Club who were 1nter ested 1n more deiimte vocal tra1n1ng formed a speclal class that worked faxthfully all wlnter as anyone could hear who happened to be 1n the lower hall on Tuesday or Thursday morn1ngs Results of th1s effort were seen 1n the lmproved vocal effects wh1ch became poss1ble Th1s spec1al chorus sang 1n the Jun1or Play and at the Bay Method1st church ln add1t1on to appear1ng 1n the Sprmg Concert The Boys Glee Club showed the flne progress they had made ID the wxnters work when they appeared successfully before the Assembly the Spr1ng Concert the Bay Communxty Club and other orgamzauons The orchestra began the year by acc0mpany1ng the Jun1or H1gh oper etta Pa1nts and Patches also performmg on var1ous occaslons through out the year As w1th the other mus1cal groups the work of the orchestra came to a cl1max ln the Sprmg Concert on May fifth ORCHESTRA The Bay H1gh Orchestra under the leadershlp of M1ss Mab1e has been unusually act1ve th1s year It s first appearance was made at a JLIIIIOI' H1gh opperetta Pamts and Patches The olchestra played for many others 1nclud1ng the spr1ng muslc concert assembly Jun1or Play and commencement The trumpet quartet COHSISIS of Wesley Sm1th Robert McAuley Jack Lockwood and Wxlharn Shook The other orchestra members are V1ol1n Gerald Hyde Clar1net Dorls Roberts V1ol1n George Serb Clar1net Lynette Pease V1ol1n Marle Hahn Clar1net Homer Humlston V1ol1n Robert Branson Saxophone Robert Jones V1ol1n Donald Dale BanJo Robe1tTreter V1ol1n Ralph Rhode Banjo W11l1am Kearney P1an1st Jean Gascon Drums Robert Serb FIFTEEN l .
