c c_tfy w Mrs. Charles Cross PO Box 96 j Assawoman, VA 23302 . ■ , - c c. £ y ' e Zhe Sagle Edited by the Class of 1962 Parksley High School Parksley, Virginia Once again, as a representative of the faculty of our beloved old school, and as its administrator, it becomes my pleasant duty and privilege to write a few words of appreciation and also admiration for such a splendid group of students as you who are pre¬ paring this record, our cherished EAGLE. Yours is not an easy task but you can be sure that the day will come when all of us, both students and faculty, will be exceedingly thankful that you possessed the necessary energy and willingness to compile it. It will not be a complete record of all the happenings while we were together, since this would be an im¬ possibility, but it will surely enable us to recall many pleasant memories. As a faculty it has been our pleasure to know the students in our school, and we hope we have been able to share with you some of our experiences. It is our desire that some of the experiences may have helped you in your search for new values and understandings. Our reward lies in your continued growth and in being remembered as your friends. We, the seniors of Parksley High School, dedi¬ cate this 1962 EAGLE to all our teachers, who have contributed so very much to our lives during the past twelve years. Words cannot express our appreciation of their devotion to their work, their understanding of our problems, their interest in our activities, and their immeasurable assistance in all that we have attempted to do. For their guidance in trying times, and for the knowledge which they have imparted, we gratefully dedicate the 1962 EAGLE to all our teachers.
