■ Dedication DEDICATED TO A MEMORY DEAR TO OUR HEARTS We dedicate this 1961 EAGLE to PARKSLEY HIGH SCHOOL. We dedicate it not merely to the stone and the brick of which these buildings are made. To us, the real meaning of the school must be expressed in its ideals and the high purposes for which it was founded. The grounds where we have spent many hours, the halls down which we have walked leisurely or sped madly in fear of being late, the classrooms in which we have struggled for knowledge — with these our memories linger. The football games, the dances, the plays, our prom, that term paper—these we shall always remember. Friendships, happiness, trouble, sadness—each ex¬ perience has had its small part in creating and completing our high school days. This school—the stone and the brick—are no longer ours, but we shall carry with us the memories as we graduate. Therefore, we, the seniors, dedi¬ cate the 1961 EAGLE to PARKSLEY HIGH SCHOOL, a memory dear to our hearts.
