Varsity Basketball I 29 After the team pulled together, our playing improved Clayton Powell The Junior Varsity Basketball team had a disappointing season, finishing with a 6-14 record. Although the beginning was a disappointment, the team came back with three consecutive wins over R.J. Reynolds, beating them twice, and over East Forsyth. The turnout was good, as approximately twenty-five hopefuls flooded the field. Coach Barringer was helped by a new assistant coach as they prepared for an eighteen game season. Junior Miss crown in January, and the title of first runner-up in the televised America's Junior Miss Pageant. Debbie first entered the Forsyth County Junior Miss contest upon encouragement from the Parkland guidance office and her parents.
