President William F. Malefz presents the class gift to Mr. Meckley. Mr. German presents National Honor Society awards to Chinlund, Wetmore, Hyland, Bair, and Phillips. 290 seniors were awarded their diplomas by Mr. David C. Semmel, President, School Board of Directors. More than 1500 persons attended the exercises in the school gymnasium. Traditional events included the presentation of the class gift to Mr. Meckley by President Maletz; the presentation of the school key to next year's senior president, James Gainfort; the class oration by Cary A. Bair; and the presentation of Honor Society Awards. Dr. Hagen Staack, Head of Department of Religion, Muhlenberg College, delivered the commencement address. I beiieve in this world there still is a tremendous amount of work to be done. Be as dissatisfied and ambitious as you can. Dr. Staack Never be satisfied with the things you do have. You have them. Bye Bye Birdie News Travels in the Telephone Hour. Lost year the class of 1964 presented the musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie. It wos directed by Miss Ethel Evans. The five act play centered on the fanatical reaction of a group of teenagers from Sweet Apple to the singing idol, Conrad Birdie. CAST Rosie ......... Albert Peterson Conrad Birdie Kim McAfee ..
