SWEETHEART BALL Queen, Court, and escorts: G. Michael, K. Santa, D. Peters, J. Freeland. G. Richards, I. Mohr, Donald Patt, and Douglos Patt. Red flower pots with red, pink, and white tissue flowers adorned the tables,- and set the scene for the annual Sweetheart Ball sponsored by Student Council. The Down-beats provided the melodious music for an enchanting evening of dancing. The Ball was high-lighted by the selection of a queen and court. This year they were selected by ballot by the couples who attended the dance. Reigning as the 1964 queen was Joy Freeland. Members of her court were Diane Peters and Irene Mohr. Queen, Joy Freeland and Irene Mohr reminiscing over their night of enchantment. 9

The promenade begins. Soft music and dim lights provide the perfect atmosphere. “Le Jardin De Tuilleries” Carol Bender is crowned by lost year's queen, Sandra Donotelli. On the moonlit evening of May 11, 1963, our Junior Class sponsored the annual Junior-Senior Farewell. It was held at the Frolics Ballroom which was highlighted with a flowing fountain in the center of the floor. The couples danced to the music provided by Matt Gillespie's Orchestra. After the promenade former queen Sandra Donatelli crowned Carol Bender queen to complete the final event of the evening. Six girls were also selected as members of her royal court.
