Page -I The 1958 PAR-KEY is a new type of yearbook for Parkland. lt has drawn its inspiration from the modern concepts embodied in the structure of our school. lt has sought, as does our school, to incorporate the best elements of tradition with modern design. For that reason, the outline of the High School has been interwoven into the book, as a symbol for the modern world in which we live. You will discover as you page throughout the book that much use has been made of photo- graphs. Because a yearbook is essentially a record of school life, it was our belief that pic- tures could more vividly portray this life, and will, in future days, help to revive happy memories more readily. Special emphasis has been given to Seniors throughout the book. This is as it should be, for this annual is the only tangible record of school life they will possess in the succeeding years. Yet it has been our intention to include all facets of High School life regardless of class. The entire staff of the i958 PAR-KEY now present for you the result of many long hours of work. We hope you will find it worth their efforts.
