The chorus can he heard rehearsing during activity periods every Tuesday and XVe-dnesday. There are approviinatelv seventy nietnhers representing the ninth. tenth. eleventh and twelfth grades. The activities ol' this vear's chorus included participating in a senior asseinhlv pro- gram shortlv helore the Christmas holidays. It then helped nialxe the Christmas Pageant a success. To finish the year, it presented its annual concert with the lland. The chorus vvas proud to send three oi' its nieinhers. The group meets every Monday and XVeclnesday during activity period. This is the organizations hrst year and they have done very well. They have taken part in the Christmas Pageant along with Senior Chorus to make it a success. They have entertained their classmates in a few auditorium programs. Their linal appearance for this year was, however, at the spring concert given in cooperation with Iunior Band at the end of the year. There are approximately 80 members in this organization preparing and training their young voices and gaining the experience which will help make a bigger and better Senior Chorus when they become members ol' that organization. .Xt the rate they are going they are bound to have much success, and were very proud oi' them. Under Mr. lames l,utZ's supervision, the group practices hard during their lree periods and after school to perfect their technique. Une of their lirst activities was helping Parkland look good in the Halloween parades in the beginning of the year. They cheered on the football fans in our second year of football at our school. At the basketball games. the squad iniected the vitality in the crowd for which they had set out to do. Among the new things happening to the cheerleading squad are the lunior Varsity members and the new uniforms.
