This gala event in 1954 was held at the Americus Hotel from nine o'clock to midnight. We danced to the delightful music of Tim 13ortz's orchestra. The highlight of the evening was the choosing of the Queen and her court. After the Coronation of the Queen, her court and her escorts danced a number reserved for them. Foothall, vvith all its glamour and tradition, has come and is here to stay. Most people said we should he given a few years to develop a strong varsity team. But under the ahle coaching of Mr. Raymond Snyder and Mr. Ralph Eckensherger, the team developed quickly and elliciently and gave a good account of itself in all the games. Next year we vvill have a junior varsity as vvell as a varsity team on the gridiron and are looking forward to another successful season. Due to the graduation of several of last year's mainstays, Coach Aral Henninger anticipated an up-hill battle to come through with a winning season. Returning lettermen were Rudy Dippl, Peter Thomas, David Musselman, Peter Christ and Davis Stecker. The following hoys established new school records last year.
