. Staff dedicates Arena to Coach Emmet Martin Coach Emmet Martin is probably one of the most liked persons at Park- land High School. Because of his many years of support to the Matadors, the Arena Staff chose to dedicate this vol- ume to him. Teaching at Parkland for 9 years, Coach Martin has received various honors along with all his responsi- bilities and activities here on campus. In 1968 he was voted Favorite Teacher, and he still remains as popular. He teaches Biology, Advanced Sci- ence, and Athletics. He is presently a B-Team coach and an assistant track coach. Mr. Martin has also taught driv- ers education and physical education. Treasure hunting and rock collecting are Coach Martin,s favorite pastimes. His plan to Hget-rich-quickn is to get a wig and guitar and start a singing group. The 1973 staIT congratulates Coach Martin for another honor, the dedica- tion of this yearbook. We hope you will be at Parkland for a long time.
