It is an honor to pay tribute to one who has become such a genuine part of Parkland and the dedication is only a small portion of the respect and admiration we wish to express. Sincerely interested in students and their capabilities, Mr. Kirtley's eagerness to help with a problem, big or little, has proved invaluable to many. Because of the pride and loyalty he feels for Parkland, he has tried to encourage everyone to exert a little more ef- fort in support of the school and promote spirit in every way he can. His keen sense of humor and friendly disposition has endeared Coach Kirtley to all who have come under his influence. Unselfish for his own part and always thinking of others before himself, he has made each year one which we can look back on in gratitude for having known him. With his southern drawl and spontaneous smile, Mr. Kirtley has easily won a place in our hearts to be etched there forever. For these reasons, and because he means so much to so many of us, the 1969 ARENA staff proudly dedicates this volume to Mr. Bob Kirtley. Bob Kirfleg
