To the Class of 1954 Congratulations upon reaching a long-sought goal. The sum of all your labors here has been entered on the records of our school. But far more important than what you have done is what you have become through the doing. To the de- gree that you have done your appointed tasks faithfully and well, have practiced day by day the high principles of truth, courage, loyalty, and helpfulness, to that degree you have approached the ideals of character that make for worthy citizenship. I wish for each of you a life of happy and useful service to your fellowmen, believing that your work in Parkesburg School has, in some measure, prepared you for it. My best wishes to you wherever your paths may lead.
