Congratulations upon your achievements. Because you have had the advantages of high school training, you have multiplied your chances of success. However, it is my sincere hope that you have learned some important lessons not found in books--the lessons of honesty, fair play, morality, and kindness. I shall be interested in your future attainments, but I am mote desirous of your becoming men and women of noble character, trusted and respected by those about you. This is far more important than mere wealth or fame. Youth is the hope of the world. In you lies all our assurance, our expectancy for tomorrow. Therefore, believing in your ability to become good citizens and sincerely hoping that your work in Parkesburg School has, in some measure, prepared you for it, the members of the faculty join me in wishing you success in your chosen undertaking of life.
