Class Prophecy May 25,1969, we see Henrietta Henrichs screeching to a stop in front of the Eclipse door to announce to the town that she just signed her contract with Jimmy Lynch. She acquired this job while visiting her former classmates who are scattered across the nation. She found Judy Adelmund living in Parkersburg. She is still undecided about which diamond to accept. Mildred Adelmund is now President of the local Secretary's Union. Their latest theory: they have done away with chairs and now use the boss's lap. Jim Allison is in the navy and is stationed in Hawaii. Jim seems to like our new state pretty well. Darrel Brandt is now manager of Klinkenburg's Feed and Produce in Aplington. He must have in- herited this from his father-in-law. Ron Dickes married to the former Esther Peters is manager of MoorMa.ns Feed. They are teaching their children how to play Mickey Mouse. They enjoyed this game in former high school days. Alvin Sluiter is now living with his wife the former Rosie Morse, and their darling little girls in Napa, California. He is in partnership with his father-in-law. Don Haak is now the guest conductor at the Butler County Music Festival. It happens to be held in New Hartford every year now. Duane Tjabring and his wife the former Joan Smeins are washing his hogs so he can win some more blue ribbons. Allen Pruisner is now a great auctioneer. He took lessons from Paul Griffiths. Jerry Devires is the twenty-second TARZAN, Getting desperate aren't they?'?'?'? Vic The Voice Junker the second Elvis Presley caused a riot in New York last week where he was singing at the Stork Club. It took the entire New York police force headed by Ken Kyhl to calm the girls. Ken is considered to be pretty good at that sort of thing when he isn't helping his wife the former Karen Spain put in her contact lenses. Richard Snittjer, Professor of Entymology, recently signed a ninety-nine year contract at a prominent girls' school, Vassar. His favorite student is still Phyllis Meester. In the world of science and education we find Jim Hosch has won recognition for the successful cross- breeding of a mule and a zebra. Mrs. Hosch, the former Judy Stout, is very proud. Seaman First Class Dave Knock was critically injured when he fell 300 feet from the crow's. nest. It was only through the superhuman efforts of Joyce Brocka, navy nurse, that he survived. Delores Miller has been recently employed by the D-X Service Station as the grease monkey. Kate Mulder is the first woman to make the trip to Little America. She has decided to make her home there. The famous Judy Spain now head coach at Notre Dame, a prominent boys' school, had a perfect record this season. It was 0 wins and 9 losses. Bermuda Jim Hammar is burning up the golf course with his fabulous double bogey shooting. The former Velma Meyer has settled down to a quiet life with her husband, Virgil Cordes, and their five little darlings. Carol Pruisner now Mrs. Roger Aukes has written a book, ' She has become very famous as an author. Ken Luhring has a new system of roll call which he acquired counting his ten little darlings three times daily. The former Joyce Knudson is married toachiropractor whom she met in one ofthe posture contests. She has made her home in Greene. Dennis Ducket is still terrorizing our town with his white Studebaker. He has an added attraction, his wife!!! Deanna Buss is now living in Clarksville and selling monogram B12a'Ci0nery. As Henrietta comes out of the Eclipse Office she meets the final member of her class, Clarence Karsjens. He is now in partnership with the local real estate firm: Schuck, Schuck, and Karsjens. The second is Behind the Wheel Instruction. A minimum of 36 classroom periods is required along with a minimum of five hours behind the wheel. Sophomores are required to take the course for one semester. This age group as a rule is nearest to the license age. This year 17 students took Driver Training the first semester and 17 the second semester. Our three main objectives were to learn the driver's responsibilities to himself, his family and society. How drivers may know their deficiencies and how drivers may overcome their weakness and lack of knowledge. 1 This Page Sponsored by C. R. CHURCH, O.D. Dave Knock, senior quarterback, led the Crusaders on their perfect record. He was ably supported by seniors Ken Kyhl, Alan Pruisner, and Evan Bennehoff, Juniors Dick Brouwer, Dennis Bartels, Russ Simon, Del Huisman, and Dennis Schuck, The highlight of the successful season was the stirring victory over Conrad in the final game. The Crusaders were anywhere from 7 - 13 point- underdogs before the kickoff but sheer determination and desire combined with some real fine football carried the boys to a 20 - 6 win. Although this record looks tough to improve on, the returning members of the squad look at the approaching GO season with anticipation. However the hard court men provided many thrills throughout the season and perhaps reached their peak in their last home game when they trounced Aplington 79-64 after being beaten by them twice previously. Many of the games were close and with the Crusaders never say die attitude crowd interest was held at a high level. One school record fell as the boys eased past Eldora Training 87-45. The 87 points scored topped the previous high of 76 points by a Parkersburg team. Allen Pruisner led the team in scoring with 229 points, AlS1uiter was second with 193. Ken Kyhl ended his career while nabbing aseason'Stota1 of 138 rebounds to lead in that department. Those three boys along with Dave Kn0ck,atremendous competitor will be sorely missed next year. With five returning lettermen back next season, prospects for a good year are promising. The lettermen are Don Anderson, Dennis Bartels, Del Huisman, Keith Cuvelier, and Craig Kneppe. In one game he threw out six men attempting to steal base. Junior pitcher Dennis Bartels turned in some fine ball games for the Crusaders. In- cluded in his record were 2 one hit chores.
