A H EVANS DIRECTOR OF ADULT CLASSES 8t8l 6Ll'b5 6'Ll l4fL l 0gl 6'LWL Durmg thzs term the school expanded 1ts Veterans Farm Program ln order to accomodate veterans of the surroundmg area who were lnterested xn takmg advantage of the four year course approved by the Veterans Adm1mstrat1on I order to do th1s xt was necessary to add an mstuctor to the prevxous program The present enrollment m the project IS now 100 wxth four teachers m charge and Dale Rxckert Finances for the project are derlved from the Veterans Adrrunxstratlon The local school IS 100 per cent relmbursed for all expenses 1ncurred ln the operatlon of the program Areas of study covered include farm management farm accountmg crops and stock cfgcfmk gvcfvwafton Cfomea The Adult Farmers Evemng classes were held durmg January February and March The project was under the dxrectlon of A H Evans Twenty two members were present at the fxrst meetmg and another th1rty enrolled later The course offers an opportunity to brush up on topics of xnterest The followmg topics were selected for study at the fxrst few meetmgs Farm Outlook Socxal Securnty, Feeds and Farm Samtatxon Other topics were arranged for the other meetings l L l!8l 5 Rural students are transported to Parkersburg Hxgh School by three buses Students from the area northwest of Parkersburg are brought to school dally by a bus driven by Norman Flerke Those lxvmg northeast and east of Parkersburg come on the bus drxven by .Tack Perry Fred Luppen drxves the bus carrymg those students from the south.
