Louise Dysart Stites CLASS PROPHECY Here we are in the year of 1986 in the respective communities of the members of the senior class of 1966 in the fullfillment of what they had hoped to achieve in obtaining their happiness. Rose Burk, Anna Gorrell, and Marylin Traul are the co-managers of a lonely heart's club and are now writing their 10th volume of ’’How To Louse Up Your Senior Year Without Really Trying. Charleta Dumcum is the first female nurse to accompany the astronauts on their space flights. Charles Fortner is the head of the health and sanitation unit in New York City. David Hodgson is furnishing a lot of competition for Daniel Boone by killing twenty coons a night. Jane Jackson is on any television set the model redhead you see coming out of the Brylcreem tube. In the White House, Gloria Koontz is President Bill Folsom's first lady. Doug McCarty has been nominated for an Oscar for his role as the greatest lover in show biz. The nomination was for the great- est comedy of the year. Dennis Morgan is the producer of the largest selling alcoholic beverage in the United States with Gary Orr as his assistant. Wanda Paul is a discotheque dancer on Hullabaloo. After securing her Master's Degree, Vickey Ross is currently the Dean of Women at the University of Michigan. Louise Stites is a very skilled and efficient housewife. Marjorie Tinsley pursued the path of matrimony and is now the mother of six. Dillard Ungeheuer has two hundred head of horses and is the owner and operator of Churchill Downs. Kenneth Wells is the head of the Studebaker manufacturing com- pany. Jim Wilson is the first person to teach a horse how to ski. Isn't it exciting to learn that all the Seniors are pursuing their chosen professions and leading happy successful lives? 13

CLASS HISTORY Four years ago on August 27, 1962, there were 19 Freshmen enrolled in Parker Rural High School. Their sponsor was Mrs. Adell who helped them very much in their first year of high school. Their first class party was held ip the gymnasium. The freshmen were waiting impatientally for a certain event. It was their initation. On November 27, the seniors gave them, a party which made them full-fledged Panthers. When their sophomore year came around, they were more acquainted with the happenings in P.R.H.S. They were ready to take on another year with the help of their two sponsors, Mrs. Irwin, and Mr. Shire. The sophomore class had two enjoyable parties, one of which was a Hobob Party , and the other one was trip to Garnett to see the show McClintock. One of the sophomore girls received the position of cheerleader and was a homecoming attendant. This girl was Charleta Dumcum. There were four boys who lettered in athletics their second year of high school. They were: Doug McCarty, David Hodgson, Gary Lemon, and Robert Chambers. The class as a whole, presented a plaque to be hung in the halls or P.R.H.S. in the memory of Thomas B. McCarty. During the year, Frank Butler left; Dillard Ungeheuer enrolled so the number of members in the class received noc change.- The next rank for the sophomores was to be iuniors. During the summer four members were lost. They were: Gary Lemon, Theresa Shire, Ronnie Mendel, and Janice Hay. There also was a new member to the class, he was Bill Folsom. As the year went on, Marjorie Tinsley, and Roger Borman juined the iuniors. The high honors this year were several. Charleta Dumcum was cheerleader, Doug McCarty, Robert Chambers, and Bill Folsom earned their varsity letters, while Dillard Ungeheuer and David Hodgson earned the B team letters. There were three representatives from the junior class at the homecoming. They were Charleta Dumcum, Jim Eilson, and David Hodgson. The junior class put on their play entitled Our Girls. directedb by Mr. Francis Cook. The junior class sponsors were Mr. Fred Dixon, and Mr. D n Stonecipher. During the year the class sponsored several money making projects, some of which were a donkey basketball game, a surpper, and a bake sale. In April, the juniors were faced with the Junior-Senior Banquet. There was much work and preparation put into the banquet. The theme was Singing in the Rain . The evening was enioyed by everyone. 14
