In this endeavor we seek to understand Jesus, to share his love for all people, and to grow in the knowledge of God. The Parker Y-Teens has been somewhat handicapped by their meeting place; however, as good Y-Teens always do the Program Chairman,Marilyn Hampton and the Worship Chairman, Carolyn Magers met the challenge of meeting in'the lunchroom very well. The Worship Services and Centers have been most outstanding and beautiful. The programs were all very informative and entertain- ing. The annual Parent, Daughter Party sponsored by the Y-Teen was held November 19, 1961. The Program was held in the auditor- ium. Many of the parents attended and it proved to be an inspir- ing and entertaining evening for all. 1962 has been a very successful year for the Y-Teens cf Parker Rural High. They are to be commended for their high stand- ards and ideals. Miss Frederickson, their sponsor, has given her time and efforts to this organization for twenty-six years; and she has been an inspiration for all. Miss Frederickson, we thank you for all you have done for us. Marcia Knight Leading Worship Miss Frederickson, Carolyn Wilson, Elaine Stites Pep Club PEP CLUB OF 1962 The Pep Club has had a very successful year. This is due mostly the efforts of its leaders Marcia Knight, President; Mrs. Adell, Sponsor; and Colleen Cockran, Carolyn Wilson,Lorita Gross, and Connie Barnett, Cheerleaders. These leaders and all the club members have worked diligently through the whole season; and they deserve a lot of credit for a truly great year. Congratulations to Marcia, the President, and to her whole staff. The Pep Club under the direction of Marcia Knight and Mrs. Adell furnished the most outstanding float to ever circle the P.R.H.S. football field. It was red and white in the shape of a heart with a carpeted stairway leading to the throne where the King and Queen were seated. The theme was woven in white letters among the red paper background on each side of the float. Sweet- hearts on Parade, was the 1961 Homecoming Theme. The Parker Pepsters organized a drill team that performed at the first league football game in their purple and white uniforms. They had gay and vibrant enthusiasm to bring forth organized cheering which made the Pep Club a wonderful group. The Parker Pepsters took a bus to every football and basket- ball game away from home and supported their team as faithfully as they did at home games. The tournament games were no exception as many of the Pepsters supported the team at League,District, and Regional. The good sportsmanship shown by the group and their uniformity made them a very outstanding Pep Club at these games.
