As our student council members, we elected Bonnie Jo Coop and Robert Dumcum. We were initiated into PRHS on Novenber 26. We came dressed as comic strip characters. After being found guilty to a number of offenses, we were sentenced to perform several stunts in the gym. On May 2, we had a hay-rack ride to Brand's Ford. We presented an assembly program and several of the class were outstanding in activities during the year. There were twenty-nine of us to begin the 1958 school year on September 2. In our first meeting Charles Hampton, was elected presi- dent; Denny Nickell, vice-president; Nancy Gross, secretary-treasurer; and Ronnie Traul and Madonna Kline as our student council members. Mr. Smith was our sponsor. On November 12, 1958, we met in the gym for a sock hop and on January 23, 1959, we presented our assembly program. We had a memor- able school year said were looking forward to our junior year and its msuiy activities. As twenty-eight juniors, we began our third year in high school on August 31, 1959« WE met with our sponsors. On March U, I960 the juniors presented Down to Earth, On April 21, the theme of our Junior-Senior Banquet was The Last Roundup. We had a full year, but were looking forward to a bigger and better year as seniors. The day finally came when we enrolled in PRHS as seniors. We came back twenty-seven strong. During the year we lost one member and gained one. At our first class meeting we elected Charles Singer, president; Denny Nickell, vice-president; Charlene Kittrell, secretary treasurer; and Paul Staley and Elizabeth Prentice as our student coun- cil members. Miss Fisher and Mr. Wattelet were our sponsors. Nancy Gross was chosen as Homecoming Queen. Charles Hampton and Ronnie Traul were attendants to the King. During the year we earned money with a bake sale, car wash, and sold fire wood and hedge posts. On March 21, after much hard work, the senior class presented the play The Sword and the Scroll. Friday night. May 5 twenty-one seniors and two sponsors left for Chicago on our sneak trip. Our senior year was slowly drawing to a close. On May U;, Bacca- laureate Services were held. Another chapter of our lives had now closed, but a new chapter will be opening soon. Some of us will further our education, some of us may join the Service, but whatever profession we take, we hope to meet again in the future. We had our Commencement on May 19. Reverend Reifel gave the address. We chose black and white as our class colors, the red rose as the class flower, and our motto is, The largest room in the world is the room for self-Jmprovement.
