They elected class officers and organised plans for selling concessions at all home football games. Fourteen members of the class were chosen to dramatise A Man Called Peter ' which was presented on November 23. The production was very good and many requests were received to have the performance repeated. The cast presented the play again for the Ottawa District M. Y. F. Conference in Garnett on January 7. Near the end of the first semester the class lost the leadership of Mr. Woolsey. His death brought deep sorrow to his junior class, to the student body, Mr. Lemon, and the other members of the faculty. Five members of the class dropped out of school during the first part of the second semester. Johnnie Giffin and Thomas Smith Joined the U. S. Air Force. Miss Frederickson readily shouldered the responsibility of sponsorship. Plans were made for the Junior-Senior Banquet. The theme Underwater was chosen and work began very soon. The banquet proved very pleasing to all who were present. The elaborate menu was the outstanding feature. They have taken leading parts in many school activities. Charles Rogers and Janice White won honors in music at the LAwrenoe and the Emporia festivals.
