It was a very short time, however, until our sponsor, Miss Williams, was teaching us the rules of carrying out our class business in the orderly man- ner of the other classes, We elected Alice Troutman to be our elass president, and Bethel Davey secretary and treasurer. f We took second place in the inter--class I basketball tournamento We celebrated our increasing ability to act as human f beings, instead of wild men, by having a i picnic at Bottom's and another at Cedar Bluff. ' 5 We were then transferred to a ye i different class and were called soph- f' omores, Alice Troutman was again 3 elected to serve as class president, y W Laverne Boydston as vice president, fy and Chloralee Drake as secretary and t treasurer, Mr. Moore became our sponsor lfl and this year we had a party after a hike j,5 up the RR track and a picnic at Cedar 'QT Bluff, We were crowned champions of the fi basketbmi inter-Class tournament. i We were becoming quite sensible when f, we became juniorsg rank Crislcr was i elected president, Roy Matherly as y , vice president, and Roy Conrad secretary f and treasurer.
