4 fr: The office is indeed a busy place. The three office girls: Louise Stainbrook, Sharlene Johnston, and Jean McGee,assist Mr. Elliott with the work. A day in the office might include--Mr. Elliott granting permits to those who were absent so that they may re- port to classes after their absenceg office girls an- swering numerous telephone callsg the office girls typing quizzes or recording gradesg and occasionally a boy or girl sent to the office by some teacher be- cause of some mischievous prank. The office is the one department of our school which makes the other departments cooperate. If it were not for our office, office equipment, and office workers, our school would not be what it now is. 4

During this period he has given liberal- ly of his time and en- ergy to the advancement of our school. Mr. Cox is a prosperous farmer near Goa? rich, and has served one term as state senator. Mr. Tyson, clerk, has served on the school board for eleven years. Besid- es his devoted interest ln the school, he is generally recognized as a leader in the community. He represents our district in the state legislature and has been presi- dent of the Parker bank for many years. Mr. McConnell, treasurer, is engaged in real es- tate and insurance business. He has shown his con- 'sideration for the educational welfare of the commun- ity by his genuinely consistent interest in his school. Since the establishing of Parker High, Mr. McConnell, as treasurer of the board of education, has unselfishly given his time and effort in promoting the success of the school.
