The sophomores started out last year as Ngreen freshiesn and did all the green things that freshmen are expected to do. This year several sophomore boys reported for basketball and football and though none of them made the first team we feel that they will secure that position next year. As sophomores they have been very quiet and stud ous, that they might shine when they become upper classmen. We believe that if the sopho- mores keep climbing as they have in the past that they will be one of the out- standing senior classes of dear old P. R. H. S. This year they chose Phyllis Bohnert for their president, Caroline Saunders vice-president, Howardine Larson--secretary, Floyd Ray--treasurer, Jacquelyn Quaintance and Clayton Povenmire--yell leaders, Miss Eyman and Mr. Dwyer--Spon- sors. ag U U Q M

Let's take a trip with the juniors to see what they have accomplished during their three years in Parker High. We find that the juniors have proved themselves an asset to Parker Rural High School. Their English Class supplied all the school news and jokes to the remainder of the school through their bi-monthly paper, 'The Chronicle. They sponsored a carnival last fall, the proceeds being used to finance the Junior-Senior Banquet. They chose as their play, Tea Toper Tavern. The boys gave loyal support to the basketball and football teams by supplying several first and second team members. The juniors boast of winning both the Girls' and Boys' Bas- ketball Class Tournaments. Early in the year the juniors elected class officers, pres1dent--Ev- elyn Povenmireg vice president--Lindley Coxg secretary--Lucy McHoneg treas- urer--Helen Alexanderg yell leaders--Gladys Stroup and Vernon Ellisg spon- sors--Miss Frederickson and Mr. Jilka. Their class mottoes are nB1ggest and loudest and Rowing, not drifting. We are confident that their senior year in P. R. H. S. will be as suc- cessful and as of much value as the former years have been. We L L fgy lwwuams

BMJ Fifty-nine timid freshmen entered Parker High School last fall hoping that the initiation would not be unbearable. For several weeks they had to stand the teasing of the upper classmen concerning the severity of the initiation until the great dayn came. But as time went on they became as courageous as the rest of us. Following the example of the other classes the freshmen elected officers early in the year. They chose as their pres- ident---Willis Mattesong vice-president---Janetta Oakleyg secretary and treasurer--Wallace Dumcang yell leaders--John Parker Franse and Doris Car- min. They added to their social life by giving parties during the year. Several freshman boys ventured out for athletics. We are expecting big things of the freshmen in the future. Miss Hunter and Mr. Wheat sponsored this class this year. Zetfmmlumuiwwdi H
