Although many of its members had had no previous musical experience, they have made rapid progress in performing such numbers as Stars and Stripes Foreverf, Easy Steps March, and patriotic songs. W'e are proud of this new organization and hope the band becomes one of our favorite and necessary school activities. Violet Mae Lytle represented Parker Area Joint Schools in County Band, which was held in Freeport, Pennsylvania. The Band participated in the Christmas program, in assemblies, in P.T.A. meetings, and in other com- munity activities. -43-
