JUNIOR AND SENIOR YEARBOOK STAFF This year the yearbook staff was hampered by insufficient meeting time in the early part of the year, but after a late start, which hindered the book's prog- ress, the staff organized its ranks and began to piece together the material for the book. The Hrst job was to scan the surrounding territory in search of advertising. The job was completed with the co-operation of many fine businessmen. Second was the written material, donated by the students, which spells the difference between a good and a poor book. This year the written material was procured through the help of Mrs. Dore, who donated time from her English classes to help the students with writeups. From these writings the best were selected for publication. The third part was piecing the book together, deciding what should be printed and how it should be arranged. For the task many hard evenings work were given by the members of the staff, but through it all a very practical lesson was learned. The staff and everyone connected with the publication of this year's book hope that it will be enjoyed by all who chance to read it and they would also like to thank each and every person who contributed to the production of the book. TRI-HI-Y The Tri-Hi-Y girls' organization to which its members are proud to belong. Its purpose is to create and maintain throughout the school and community high standards of Christian living. Our regular meetings are held every two weeks, each being opened with a worship service consisting of a Scripture Reading, Prayer, and a number of sac- red songs, including our Tri-Hi-Y song to the tune of Tell Me Why. This is then followed by a business session in which we discuss such subjects as our pro- gram at the Veterans' Hospital or things that will do some good for our commun- ity and all concerned. Then our program: this is where we all take part bringing up our various problems such as dating, etiquette, and in trying to create and ob- tain a higher Christian standard. . This is not only helpful during our school years, in which we are creating habits of pure thoughts, words, and deeds as our emblem stands for, but will be an asset to us in our later years. If we strive to attain Christian standards through our thinking while in high school, it will remain in the years to come. ALT:-IEA McK.r-:E -33...
