CHRL9 Girls' chorus is a very useful and enjoyable activity for all who take part in it. There are many reasons for this being true. We who take part in it do so because we enjoy music. Chorus affords us an opportunity to develop our singing voices. We learn to cooperate happily and sincerely, each of us contributing our singing voices. We learn to co-operate honor to our school and community. After a few weeks in chorus we begin to appreciate more deeply music which is pre- sented for our entertainment through radio, television, etc. Before taking chorus we may have heard songs which seemed to us a poor example of music. Perhaps a madrical or motet which sounded like an unharmonizing jumble of voices. After taking chorus we can realize and appreciate the fact that it took accurate and intensive work to produce such musical perfection. C HORUS Although we have chorus weekly, we strive to present two certs throughout the year. Our for each concert is to have the quality of our individual voices only twice or three con- set standard very highest blended into beauty in song-a concert that our parents attended, and one in which we, as chorus members, will be proud to have participated. To get out of chorus, all the possible good mentioned above, we must have an able in- structor. Mr. Tritle' just entered our school this year, and we know he is a fine addition to it, especially to our chorus. He is a very conscientious leader who has done a fine job. We wish to express our appreciation to him, for his time .and effort toward making our chorus, ensemble, trio, and soloists a real suc- cess for the past year. RUTH CHAMBERS
