Approaching the twelve o'clock hour, seniors Bernadine Elliott and Billy Edens with their dates fondly recall many happy hours at Parker. 4. As the night wears on, Sammy Phillips and Tonda Wilson appear to be enjoying themselves. 5. Standing in line to have pictures made, john Balcombe and Becky Craig wait with their dates. 6. Taking time out for a breather, Stanley Roundtree, Vicki Williams, Frances Anderson, and her date enjoy discussing the night's activities. 7. Fun, dancing, and the sounds of the Fresh Licks highlighted the Senior Prom on May 21, 1976, at the Ramada lnn. That special night, which the seniors had planned so long for, had finally arrived. Russell Connor, president of the Senior class, and his date April Cisson led the Grand March on to the dance floor to start the dancing. Using the theme Evening in Paradise, the Seniors cast all their worries aside for the evening and enjoyed the events of their special night. 16 fProm

V TI N Pushed, encouraged, pleaded with, and sometimes forced to go to school for twelve years, 208 Seniors found their last year more memorable than all the others. Meeting for one last time in Memorial Auditorium on lune 1, 1976, seniors wore many smiles accompanied by tears. The Parker High School Band played Coronation March as the graduates marched in. Leon Byrd, chaplain, gave the invocation and Parker Singers sang The Heavens Are Telling under the direction of Mrs. Esther Rogers. Each student anxiously awaited his turn to proudly walk across stage and receive his long awaited diploma. Speakers for the occasion were Ernestine McGee, Valedictorian, and Anita Tucker, Salutatorian. Motivation and Determination in '76 and ln Ourselves Lies The Future were the topics of their speeches. Diplomas were presented by assistant principals Wayne McKinney and Alphonso Allen. Principal Richard Babb presented awards to Janice Childress and johnny Baker for Best All Around students. Mike Kelley received the T.M. Nelson award for sports. 13 fGraduation
